Commissioner Trevor Tuck, territorial commander, recently installed Majors Lindsay and Lynette Rowe, Canadian officers, as divisional leaders of the Western Cape Division.

Lindsay was born and raised in Canada in the small fishing village of Chance Cove, Nfld. He is a fifth generation Salvationist and says of his call to the ministry, 'I cannot remember a time when I didn't dream of becoming a Salvation Army officer. As a small boy I would gaze at my corps officer as he preached and muse, 'that's what I'm going to be when I grow up.'' Lindsay entered The Salvation Army College for Officer Training in St. John's in September 1969 and celebrated his eighteenth birthday that same month.

Lynette, a Torontonian by birth, spent the majority of her early years in Nova Scotia and Eastern Newfoundland. As a young girl she attended the Baptist, Pentecostal, Anglican and Roman Catholic churches and credits these experiences for her interdenominational sensitivity and appreciation for diversity in worship.
