Territorial Finance Department

Welcome!... to the Territorial Headquarters (THQ) Finance Department web page, designed to provide valuable information to Salvation Army personnel at both the divisional and local levels, related to finance, accounting and administration.  Our goals are to share information, ideas, concepts and projects that are developing across the territory. Our hope is that this web page will help facilitate those goals.

Salvationist.ca article "Holding the Line":  During this time of economic upheaval, how do Salvationists see the prospects of Salvation Army ministry in the months and years ahead?  And what can they do about it... personally?  Click here to read more from Paul Goodyear's article, published in the January 2009 edition of the Salvationist.ca magazine.

Consolidated Financial Statements Project:  Click here to find out more about the consolidation project, the two Ministry Unit Prep Guides (Part I and Part II), the New Departments - Consolidation document, or to view current and past audited financial statements/annual reviews.

New MSA Policy:  Did you know that the Canada & Bermuda Territory will be implementing a new Management Support Assessment policy, effective April 1, 2009?  The revised policy will have wide ranging implications for all Salvation Army units. Click here to find out more.

Finance Department e-Bulletin:   Did you know that the Finance Department offers an electronic bulletin service to all interested Salvation Army personnel? It's a great way to communicate on financial projects and issues that affect Salvation Army units. Click here to find out more.

Territorial Finance Manual (TFM):  The TFM is the principle document for finance and accounting related polices within the Canada & Bermuda Territory. As a supplement to the official "Manual of Operating Polices" (previously referred to as the "Official Minute Book") the TFM is published and maintained by the Territorial Finance Department to provide information and guidance to Salvation Army personnel (both staff and volunteers) involved in finance and accounting related work. The TFM is published on Lotus Notes and is available to any individual with an "saDashboard" user account. To obtain an "saDashboard" account, contact your divisional headquarters (or the I.T. Department Helpdesk at 416-422-6300).
