Fri 16th Feb 2007 Add comment

On February 8th, cadet Désiré Mounanga was ordained as a pastor and consecrated as an officer of The Salvation Army. The emotional ceremony was joyfully animated by an enthusiastic choir and the assembly was blessed by the presence of Commissioner M. Christine MacMillan.

A native of Gana, Désiré and his spouse, Marie Blandine, arrived in Canada in 2000. Désiré started his studies at The Salvation Army College for Officers in Montréal in 2001. Désiré and his family will continue to serve at the Rosemont Community Church in Montréal.
