On August 26, 2006, in a service of installation, Canadian officers, Commissioners Max and Lennie Feener, were welcomed as territorial commander and territorial president of woman's ministries in the USA Southern territory.Commissioned in Canada, the Feener's served for 28 years as corps officers before moving on to appointments on divisional staff and as divisional leaders.

Before their appointment to the southern territory as chief secretary and territorial women's ministries secretary in February 2005, they served in the same position in the Southern Africa territory.

During the welcome service Commissioner Lennie Feener admonished Salvationists to advance, trusting fully in God. "It's not my Army, not your Army, not even our Army - it's God's Army. So let us go forwad to love inclusively, serve helpfully and disciple effctively."
