Penticton, B.C. - Members of The Salvation Army church congregation received paper grocery bags prior to Thanksgiving Sunday, which they filled with non-perishable food items, and brought in for a special display set up at the front of the church.
On Thanksgiving Sunday the food was taken to the food bank, operated by the Army, and used to help those less fortunate.
Seen with the display is Community Services Director, Christine Simmons, who received the food on behalf of the food bank.
