Maple Ridge, B.C. - Real estate agents who usually spend their weekends showing high-priced homes peeled potatoes, made gravy and stuffed 18 turkeys this past Saturday and Sunday.
About 100 real estate agents were grateful for the use of the Salvation Army's Caring Place kitchen for two days to prepare for the 300 guests expected.
The 10th annual Real Thanksgiving meal was served yesterday at St. Patrick's Church. Single parents, homeless and seniors were able to enjoy a turkey dinner, complete with gravy, stuffing, vegetables, pumpkin pie and coffee.
