B.C. - This Saturday, Sept. 22, in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, Canada Post workers, their family and friends, will be heading out on the routes they have travelled many times. Only this time instead of dropping off mail they will be picking up food items donated by generous residents of the region.
This is the Stamp Out Hunger food drive and non-perishable items will be added to the overall effort to build up stocks of food at The Salvation Army food banks in both communities.
Rural residents can drop off their food at any rural post office this week and Canada Post workers will ensure it is delivered to The Salvation Army.
