The Salvation Army Historical Society (Canada and Bermuda) was inaugurated in 1986 to create and promote interest, on the part of both Salvationists and non-Salvationists, in the history of The Salvation Army in the Canada and Bermuda Territory.
Membership is open to any person interested in the history of The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda. Membership fees are $10 per year for a single person and $15 per year for a family. For a membership application, please contact the Archives at 416-285-4344, or by e-mail at heritage_centre@can.salvationarmy.org.
There are four regularly scheduled Society meetings during the year, with presentations of Salvation Army interest, as well as various guest speakers.
The Society newsletter, 'The Crest', is published three times a year and is sent to all Society members. It can also be viewed on The Salvation Army Archives website. As well, members may avail themselves of free research services - up to four hours on a particular subject. Some restrictions will apply.
