Mon 24th Dec 2007 Add comment

For the seventh consecutive year, Canada Post will present The Salvation Army with a donation of $25,000. Among other needs, the funds will be allocated to The Salvation Army's Suicide Prevention Ministry running out of Hamilton, Ont. Although located in Hamilton, the office fields calls from many areas - from southern Ontario to Edmonton, Calgary and even Baltimore,Tonawanda, New York and Phoenix, Arizona.

Canada Posts support will ensure that the Suicide prevention ministry will continue and that people will have access to the help, care and support they need to deal and cope with difficult times.

The donation will also be used for Christmas dinners, toys, blankets, winter boots and snowsuits for children, mats for a Vancouver shelter, educational supplies for a Montreal shelter and beds for a hospice in Calgary.
