The Salvation Army in Wetaskiwin, Alta., is named as one of the supporters for "The World's Longest Barbecue 3."

From June 23 to July 2, 2006, the worlds longest BBQ lasted 220 consecutive hours, serving over 13,000 hamburger patties and raising nearly $50,000 to support Alberta Beef and Rural Alberta Food Banks.

Family Services and Food Bank coordinator, Rose-Anne Williams, has been involved in the planning and coordinating of this event in 2005 and again this year.
