The store's third annual Backpacks for Kids campaign runs from Aug. 1 - Sept. 1, supporting children in Grades 1 through 7 who can't afford new school supplies.

Canadians are urged to drop off new backpacks filled with school suplies at any Sleep Country location.

Last year, more than 7,000 backpacks were distributed by The Salvation Army and KidsFest to students across Canada.
