About 13 years ago Francois Garneau went through the doors of The Salvation Army's Harbour Light at the corner of Shuter and Jarvis Streets in Toronto.
"They fed me and I went through rehab for six months," says Garneau. "I'm an alcoholic and have mental health issues. Thanks to Harbour Light I am more stable. I stopped running away, I no longer drink alcohol or abuse medications.
"Things may not be perfect but they are a lot more livable."
