Victoria, B.c. - In three weeks the Beacon of Hope House is set to welcome its first residents. This house is a cooperative venture of The Salvation Army, Vancouver Island Health Authority and the provincial government.
The House will provide six treatment beds for teen males ages 13 to 18 for stays of three to six months. Priority will be given to those with an addiction to crystal meth.
Two staff members will be on duty at the home at all times. The youths will receive life-skills training and job training as they undergo treatment.
