Warrior's song café influences community

Fri 3rd Nov 2006 Add comment

Nipawin, SK - The Salvation Army has officially opened "Warrior's Song Café" (thrift store and coffee shop).

The new building is about six times larger than the former location making it easier for the six employees, approximately 25 volunteers and customers to get around.
The Salvation Army wants to be there with a helping hand and a caring presence for those who are diadvantaged in any kind of way.

The following verse from The Warrior's Song was read at the opening:

"We speak up for those who cannot speak for themseles; for the rights of all who are destitute, we speak up and judge fairly, we defend the rights of the poor and the needy."
