The Salvation Army in Quebec recently held a retirement celebration to acknowledge the significant contributions made by George Parsons. For 15 years, George Parsons worked for the Salvation Army’s emergency services in Quebec. As the first emergency services coordinator, George played an integral role in establishing this ministry following the Ice Storm of 1998. He also led the Army’s street outreach for the homeless, which takes place on Thursday nights in Émilie-Gamelin Park.
In retirement, George will continue to support various Salvation Army activities in Quebec, such as the street ministry in Montreal. It’s because of men and women like George Parsons that The Salvation Army is able to carry out its mission throughout Canada and Bermuda.
