Nanaimo - For the past few days, people forced from their homes due to flooding in the Chilliwack have been getting hot meals, thanks to the Nanaimo branch of The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army's emergency disaster vehicle, equipped with the conveniences of a kitchen, including a grill, convection ovens and a refigerator has been in the Chilliwach area, with Salvation Army staff and volunteers using it to help provide food to those who have been affected by flooding.
The truck was purchased in 2002 thanks to an anonymous $200,000 donation.
