New Brunswick - Major Shirley King, executive director of Lakeview Manor in Riverview, has been appointed as chair of the Standard of Care Committee for the New Brunswick Nursing Home Association.

The committee's responsibility is to define what quality of life is in a nursing home in New Brunswick by reviewing the standards set by accrediting bodies, the nursing home act and the quality of service program.
