Campers and staff are carrying on with their normal routines despite fire destroying a building at the camp in Sutherlands River last week.
The loss of a mobile home unit which housed the camp's canteen and staff lounge won't affect programming. Everyone was safe and everything is fine.
Ninety-six children and youths, 7 to fifteen, were present attending Camp Goodtime, which is put on by the Canadian Cancer Society.
Two non-residential buildings sustained some exterior damage. It is believed the fire was accidental.
Scotian Glen camp is funded by The Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal. In addition to Salvation Army-run camps, it hosts camps for other groups including the Nova Scotia Hemophiliac Society as well as the Nova Scotia Firefighters Burn Treatment Society.
