The Montreal Citadel Corps is alive and well. One evidence of this is "Blast of Brass", our learners band. You will note from the picture that this is an eclectic group of youth and adults; in fact two-thirds of the group are adults.

They have been playing as a group for about one year and are doing very well. The co-leaders are Mr. Gary Purcell (back row, far right) and Ms. Marion Butler (middle row, center). While the corps officer, Cpt Norm Gardner (lying on the floor) is not a new player, he does support the group by playing with them.

The name "Blast of Brass" reflects the fact that this group has fun - they have a "blast" every time they are together.
