The Salvation Army Catherine Booth Hospital, located in Montreal, Quebec, has served the health of the people in this community for 82 years.
Originally, it was founded as an obstetrics and gynecology hospital, then in 1973, by government mandate, it became a physical rehabilitation hospital.
In this therapeutic environment, professionals serve each person holistically. The chaplaincy program is a very vibrant part of this interdisciplinary team approach to each patient according to need. Benchmarks for high care standards have always existed here.
For many years, the hospital has received very good evaluations from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation. This year, however, it underwent another review and was awarded the top accreditation status possible - “three years with no followup reportâ€.
Congratulations go to the board of directors, the physicians, the management and staff, the foundation and corporation members and the auxiliary and volunteers who all contribute daily to making this hospital one of such excellence.
