The National Red Shield Appeal reached $37.9 million, surpassing any prior year in history, as well as reaching the territorial objective for the first time in more than a decade! While some divisions did not quite reach their objective, every division exceeded last year's results!
- The World Services Appeal reached almost $1.5 million, exceeding the objective of $1.25 million and last year's result of $1.3 million.
- Major gifts reached $19.2 million, in comparison to the objective of $7.7 million.
- Legacy income reached $40 million, up from $31 million in the prior year.
All of this has happened during a year in which almost $4 million was raised for disaster relief efforts. Graham Moore, Public Relations and Development Secretary responds: "I am thankful for the generosity and trust of the public, and the hard work of our volunteers, officers, soldiers, and employees who breathe life into the God-ordained mission of The Salvation Army every day."
