Age of Protection Bill Passes House of Commons

Mon 14th May 2007 Add comment

Bill C-22 (Age of Protection) was passed by the House of Commons on May 4 and will now move to the Senate. If passed into law, Bill C-22 will make it illegal for anyone five years or older than a 14 or 15- year old youth to engage in sexual activity with that teen, unless the two are married. The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) made presentations to the Committee and was present at every hearing on this Bill.
