As last month's campus shootings at Virginia Tech demonstrated all too clearly, violence and tragedy are ever with us in this world.
But even in the midst of tragedy, lives can be touched by hope and grace. Ministers of Hope, a new television special from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, will help viewers find inspiration and understanding in the wake of these deadly events.
Canada's VisionTV presents this hour-long Billy Graham Television Special on Saturday, June 2 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Just hours after the April 16 shootings, chaplains from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's Rapid Response Team arrived at the Virginia Tech campus to provide counsel and comfort to survivors. Franklin Graham also visited the university to lend encouragement to those in need.
The Ministers of Hope special features inspiring stories from students, campus leaders, alumni and others who have found hope in the face of tragedy. The program also includes uplifting musical performances from acclaimed Christian artists Selah, Casting Crowns and the Tommy Coomes Band.
The program concludes with "The Love of God," a powerful message that Billy Graham shared with the world just one month after 9/11.
VisionTV, an S-VOX company, is Canada's multi-faith and multicultural broadcaster, dedicated to programming that celebrates diversity and promotes understanding and tolerance among people of different faiths and cultures.
