The Salvation Army Connection: Episode 192
According to the United Nations there are about nine millions refugees in the world, many living in refugee camps in appalling conditions. Canada is one of only a dozen countries offering permanent re-settlement, and The Salvation Army is deeply involved in this work. Major Ruth Kimmins is responsible for Multicultural and Immigrant and Refugee Services at Territorial Headquarters and Major Holly Patterson works with refugees in the Greater Toronto Area.
