The Editorial department at territorial headquarters welcomes Clint Houlbrook as editor of SendtheFire and western representative. Clint introduces himself.
"For a kid growing up in Golden, BC in a shack, living like 'Little House on the Prairie' with no indoor plumbing till grade 10 I've done alright.
I was a self-professed KISS fan during high school in the eighties and a long haired rocker in college during the 90's. While I got glimpses and experiences with God and his people over the years, it wasn't until my mid 20's that God opened my eyes and I finally understood.
Cariboo Hill Temple Salvation Army will always be my home as it's where my spiritual roots began to grow and I was nurtured. God's path has been an awesome one and has included me being a PR Assistant at DHQ in BC, Youth Pastor at Cariboo Hill Temple in Burnaby, BC, Associate Pastor at Pathways Sally Ann in Vernon, BC and point person for a divisional youth discipleship/leadership experience called X{LR}:8 in BC.
I love and enjoy the beach and the clear sparkling waters of Kalamalka lake in Vernon, BC with my wife Marion and kids Ethan and Tenaya. On the occasional warm summer day, I like to get rid of some cobwebs and enjoy the beauty of God's creation going by me as I cruise down the open road on my 1100 Honda Shadow motorcycle.
Unleash the youth! My passion is for youth and young adults to understand who God has created and called them to be, embrace this discovery and walk that out as the light of Jesus Christ in a dark world.
