MARCH 1 - 7
Living the Vision
We envision a territory of Integrated Mission
March 1 - Pray that we might minister to the deepest needs of our society, overcoming the hurdles by the power of the Holy Spirit.
March 2 - Pray that we might develop a mission without borders, marked by flexibility.
March 3 - Pray that our mission will exemplify the all-embracing redemptive Gospel that transforms lives and communities.
March 4 - Pray that our ministry units will learn to exercise community capacity development.
March 5 - Thank the Lord for the healing and wholeness ministries that are springing up in the Canada and Bermuda Territory.
March 6 - Pray that our ministry units become places of soul care and social care that are welcoming to all.
March 7 - Pray for the full participation in the all ministry units in saving souls, growing saints and serving suffering humanity.
MARCH 8 - 14
WORLD MISSIONS
March 8 - Please pray that hostilities will cease in Sri Lanka so that our reconstruction work can continue to meet the needs of those still impacted by the tsunami.
March 9 - Pray for our project team on the ground in Sri Lanka. There are 52 people in all, 2 expatriates and 50 nationals who are successfully implementing our project.
March 10 - Thank God for the HIV/AIDS integrated project now in development in Tanzania/Malawi and Kenya.
March 11 - Pray for Captains Dr. Paul and Pedrina Thistle at the Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe.
March 12 - Thank the Lord for Major Dr. Dawn Howse and the work that she is doing at Tshelanyemba Hospital in Zimbabwe.
March 13 - Pray for the 2,669 children worldwide who are supported by our Child Sponsorship Program in Canada and Bermuda.
March 14 - Pray for our Partners in Mission Appeal 2008 as we continue to raise funds for the international work of The Salvation Army.
MARCH 15 - 21
Ontario Great Lakes Division
March 15 - Pray for the Laotian Corps with their officers Lieutenants Phoungern & Oudaovanh Sombounkhanh. Pray for the new people coming to their church, especially the Burmese family, and a second congregation started at this church.
March 16 - Pray for the Corps Officers and their families, for a hedge of protection around them, so that God can use them to reach out to the lost, the least, and the lowest.
March 17 - Pray for Social Centres with their Executive Directors, Department Heads and staff. Ask the Lord for future sustainability and relevant programming that would present the love of God.
March 18 - Pray for renewed interest in personal evangelism and discipleship throughout the Division.
March 19 - Pray for the Divisional Mission team traveling to Haiti in May 2008, that God would prepare the way for their ministry.
March 20 - Pray for our Divisional Youth Ministries coordinator, youth workers and the youth of our Division. Pray that they may be instrumental in reaching other young people.
March 21 - Pray for those attending Easter events and Church on Easter Sunday that many will see with the eye of faith, our Risen Lord and will choose to follow Him.
MARCH 22 - 28
The International Salvation Army - Caribbean Territory
March 22 - Pray for officers who have received new appointments, particularly those who need visas to travel to them that the visas will be issued quickly.
March 23 - Pray for the upcoming finance training conference for the territory.
March 24 - Pray for the developing mission in French Guiana, which has now been upgraded to an area command.
March 25 - Pray for the continuing challenges and opportunities in Haiti - particularly the medical and educational work.
March 26 - Please pray for work with the blind and visually impaired in Jamaica and the Bahamas. Pray for Canadian officers Captains Mark and Barbara Stanley at the Blind School in Jamaica.
March 27 - Pray for the children in our children's homes in Jamaica, Suriname, Haiti and Antigua.
March 28 - Please pray for the cadets of the Caribbean Territory as they prepare for their commissioning.
MARCH 29 - 31
Emergency Disaster Services
March 29 - Pray for strength and protection, both physical and spiritual, for many officers and lay people who are called upon to serve in difficult and violent surroundings.
March 30 - Pray that God will continue to raise up Officers and Salvationists who embrace the Ministry of Emergency Disaster Services within The Salvation Army in Canada, understanding that this is yet another avenue God has given us to touch souls for His Kingdom at a very significant time in their lives.
March 31 - Thank God that Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services has an extremely high profile in North American Emergency Response circles. Pray that God will give physical, emotional and spiritual strength and the practical resources needed in order to measure up to the confidence that our nations have placed in us to be able to respond effectively when disaster strikes.
