If you do use the evangelism edition, discuss the following in your sermon. Below are ideas as to how to present the magazine to someone you know.
- Read the magazine. Familiarize yourself with its stories. Talk to another about the people profiled inside Faith & Friends and their qualities or elements of their personal journeys.
- Approach people where they are at. Ask how someone is doing and genuinely care about his or her response. Inquire about how people spend their time and their interests. What is taking up this individual’s time right now? After relating to the person with whom you are speaking direct the conversation toward how God has been involved in their life or someone profiled in the magazine’s life.
- At events, or in the case of distributing the magazine in public places, like waiting rooms, ensure the magazines will not be tossed out as soon as you leave. Ask if it is okay to leave some magazines. Or, in the case of handing them to people, see if they really want the magazine or would rather not take it.
