Photo Caption Contest #2

Fri 14th Nov 2008 19 comments
In the comments section below, tell us what you think the caption for this photo should say.

On December 1, Salvationist.ca judges will look over the responses and choose a winning entry. The writer of the winning caption will receive a free copy of Shane Claiborne’s Becoming the Answer to our Prayers. The first person to guess who is in the photo will also receive a free gift.

Prayer is not so much about convincing God to do what we want God to do as it is about convincing ourselves to do what God wants us to do. Shane Claiborne and Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove show how prayer and action must go together. Key Bible passages provides concrete examples of how a life of prayer fuels social engagement and the work of justice.

** Contest Closed **

Congratulations to Mary Read Horton for contributing the winning caption. As well, Doug Dalrymple correctly identified Commission William Francis as the young boy in the photo, so he, too, will receive a prize.
