Miraculous makeovers: VisionTV's Divine Restoration returns to help congregations restore and renovate local churches New season begins May 12. Even God's house could use some sprucing up now and then.
Divine Restoration, television's most inspired makeover series, is back in May for a third season on VisionTV. Once again, hosts Catherine Burdon and Jim Codrington and the rest of the Divine Restoration crew join forces with congregations all over North America to help renovate local churches.
The Gemini Award-nominated weekly series returns on Mondays, starting May 12 at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
In this new season, Divine Restoration seeks out churches in the U.S. and Canada with links to pivotal moments in black history, from the Underground Railroad to the Civil Rights struggle.
Each week, the Divine Restoration team visits a different church to help out with a 48-hour renovation project - anything from installing a new kitchen for feeding the homeless to fixing up an old pulpit.
While hammering nails or applying paint, hosts Catherine and Jim also get to know a little about the history of the church, the members of the congregation, and their work in the local community.
At the end of every half-hour episode, members of the congregation gather with the Divine Restoration team to admire the results of their efforts and to celebrate what a community can accomplish with a little hard work and a lot of faith.
Divine Restoration is produced by VisionTV International for VisionTV and TV One. Joan Jenkinson is the Executive Producer for VisionTV.
