It is the General's wish that as many soldiers as possible, wherever in the world they live, will receive a copy of his letters, or hear it read to them. Because many soldiers do not have access to emails or the internet, those soldiers will need to be provided with copies of the letter in paper form, or, in places where many of our people cannot read or write, they will need to have the letter read to them - either privately during pastoral visitation or from the platform during public worship.
The General would be grateful if corps officers would print out the letters from the General's web site http://www.salvationarmy.org/thegeneral.
Also, please take every opportunity you have to persuade your soldiers to sign up for the Pastoral Letters by email, if they have the means to do so. They can do this on the General's website.
Alternatively they can email their email address to IHQ-Website@salvationarmy.org or send it by post to Communications Section, The Salvation Army IHQ, 101 Queen Victoria Street, London EC4P 4EP, United Kingdom.
