The Salvation Army in Canada has launched its first annual fundraising campaign to help finance its international development programs.
Through the effort, called "Hope for the World," organizers are working to raise $1 million to carry on bringing support to those in need through 140 programs in nine countries.
For instance, The Salvation Army is rebuilding schools in earthquake-ravaged Pakistan, providing primary health care for women in Indonesia and helping to prevent HIV/AIDS in Africa.
