bcstamp.jpgThe Honorable Roger Simmons, PC and member of The Salvation Army's Victoria Advisory Board presents an original copy of The Salvation Army stamp commemorating The Army's 100 Anniversary in Canada to Commissioner M. Christine MacMillan, on the occasion of the commissioner's farewell from the BC Division during a recent visit. The framed piece was one of three made - one was presented to General Wahlstrom during the 1982 Congress and Mr. Simmons holds the other copy.

Roger Simmons is a retired MP. He was 15 years in the Nfld. House of Assembly, 10 years in Federal politics, and spent 5 1\2 years as the Canadian Counsul General to Seattle prior to his retirement. He holds onto the title of "honourable" due to his position and years of service.
