Vancouver - After five years of being silenced at several Vancouver-area malls, Salvation Army fundraisers will once again ring their bells during their Christmas kettle campaign.
Following an overwhelming public response in support of the Christmas bells--one online poll indicates 83 percent of Metro Vancouver residents are in favour of the traditional reminder to drop a coin in the kettle for the less fortunate Oakridge Mall said it would work with the Sally Ann to find a solution, but doesn't want the bells ringing non-stop.
Lougheed Mall agreed to double the number of kettle stations from three to six, but has asked the charity to tone it down.
