Hamilton, Ont. - The Salvation Army Meadowlands Church (formerly Hamilton Temple) recently opened their new worship centre in the west-end Ancaster area of the City of Hamilton.
The 22,500 sq. ft. facility came in at 3.1 million dollars and has a large-size gym, a fully functional youth recreation room, a church/community library along with Y.P. classes and office wing areas.
With a sanctuary seating capacity of nearly 400 and also a Family Services office, food bank and program room, the church is well perched for outreach to the city that has one of the fastest housing growth developments in the country.
Former corps officers, Majors Alan and Colleen Price, standing with some members of the congregation,
cut the ribbon to officially open the new center.
Ontario Great Lakes Divisional Commander, Major Alf Richardson who was the guest speaker for the weekend of festivities and various meetings, officially dedicated the edifice to the glory of God.
