Toronto - More than 20,000 persevered through the blizzard to attend MissionFest Toronto, celebrating the worldwide impact of missions and God's love for all nations and all people.

MissionFest opened its doors on March 1in a test of faith as Toronto got hit with a blizzard, but this did not stop the many that still came out to see Dr. Ravi Zacharias speak on ‘ What it Means to be Human’.

On March 2 , Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Dr. Glendon Thompson, Aileen Coleman and others spoke on inspiring and engaging topics to a sold-out pastors’ & leaders’ conference. The ‘Mobilized To Serve’ singles program was filled to capacity!

On the third day, thousands of people poured in to engage in free seminars, plenary sessions, a youth program, master seminars, over 200 exhibits, concerts and the women’s forum - all with standing room only.

Parents brought their children to packed programs where they learned about the culture and life of the First Nations people with sing-a-long, stories and crafts, and enjoyed the simulated trips to India and Africa.

Prayer, an important part of MissionFest was offered to many during the conference in the 24/7 Prayer room and the prayer & rest area instilling hope, encouragement and healing.

Seminar topics like Missions in Arts & Media, Global & National Missions and others were greatly sought after as eager attendees rushed to get their seats.

Attendees enjoyed meeting, greeting and connecting with the exhibitors including Christian-based mission agencies, corporations, media, retailers, universities and colleges.

President of Samaritan’s Purse and evangelist, Franklin Graham, graced the stage for MissionFest’s final night speaking about the cost to following and obeying the Lord Jesus Christ. “A life of obedience leads to blessing and when you obey you realize that it is not about you but it is all about God,” said Graham.

At the end of Franklin’s session, he was presented with an honourary Doctor of Divinity degree from Canada Christian College by longtime friend and mentor John Wesley White.

MissionFest Toronto is the largest mission conference in central Canada with over 20,000 in attendance, 200 local and international exhibitors, 40 dynamic seminars, and programs for children, youth, women, singles, pastors, leaders, artists, families plus those working in the corporate marketplace.
