Newmarket, Ont. - The Salvation Army Northridge Community Church recently hosted the Chief Scout Ceremony for Shining Waters Region (encompassing the regions of York, Simcoe and more).

On June 9, 62 Scouts were presented with the highest order in youth achievement from Scouts Canada, including Northridge Community Church’s own Spencer Vienneau (seated at centre, rear).

The hall was at full capacity with special dignitaries attending. Also, a personalized video of congratulations from CBC’s own Rick Mercer was viewed. Many thanks were presented to members of Northridge and Northridge’s Scout Group for their help in organizing a highly successful event.
