The Salvation Army's first International Weekend of Prayer and Fasting for the Victims of Human Trafficking is September 29-October 1, 2006.
Has God been speaking to you regarding victims of human trafficking? What do you, your community or group feel called and empowered to do? Is there something further God is calling us all to do on behalf of persons who are trafficked or vulnerable to traffickers? Submit your story by commenting on this post.
We have opened ourselves to God on behalf of people who are most evilly oppressed. Take courage knowing that God is faithful and steadfast in love and mercy, especially watching over the oppressed. Phil. 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We have asked God to intervene and to act quickly (Psalm 10). We have laid our burdens before God and we are thankful that God hears and acts. May the glorious peace of Christ watch over and fill us. We have also taken time to trust our ways to God (Proverbs 3:5-6) and now we can trust God further to guide us in all things and especially also regarding what further actions God calls us to on behalf of persons who are victims of trafficking.
