The Salvation Army training college and three hectares of land in St. John's was sold to real estate developer Kevin King for $3 million. The deal closed in late October.
Located on Tiffany Lane, the training college commissioned its last group of Salvation Army officers in June before closing.
King expects to submit his development plans to St. John's city hall soon.
"We're going to use the existing building and rent it out as, hopefully, office space and apartments for seniors," he said Monday.
College for Officer Training (CFOT) in Winnipeg replaced the training colleges in Toronto, which closed in 2004, and St. John's.
