Territorial School of Music and Gospel Arts is in full swing.

This year’s Territorial School of Music and Gospel Arts at Jackson’s Point Conference Centre shows all the signs of being one of the best yet. By mid-week the 175 students and faculty were in full swing as they presented their Wednesday night program to a packed auditorium.

Exuberant singing was led by the contemporary music team under Captain Danielle Strickland, as the congregation was invited to join the revolution of love, this year’s chosen theme.

Musical guest James Curnow co-chaired the program with Major Len Ballantine, secretary for music and gospel arts. A variety of items included pieces by the Brian Burditt Band, the Robert Venables Band and the Women’s Chorus, alternately led by Cathie Koehnen and Judy Touzeau.

The drama team, directed by Rich Swingle, and the 'A’ Chorus and ‘A’ Band, led by Major Len Ballantine and James Curnow respectively, also contributed significantly to the evening, and Colonel Glen Shepherd, chief secretary, shared from his heart in a brief devotional message. Following a final song of praise and worship, the audience was left eagerly anticipating the final program that will take place Saturday, September 2, at Scarborough Citadel.
